BlogBackupOnline moving out of beta

After nearly a year in BETA, BlogBackupOnline is moving out of BETA! After great feedback from our awesome users, we are preparing to release version 1.5 next week.

Great news - BlogBackupOnline will continue to provide a FREEMIUM version for our users. Our goal is to continue to provide a free and valuable resource for every blogger to backup their content.

We also found that many of our customers are eager for more new features and full technical support for BlogBackupOnline. In order to provide this level of service and to continue to provide new innovation with BlogBackupOnline, we will also be offering new "Professional" and "Enterprise" accounts.

Our absolutely free FREEMIUM service will include:

Initially 5 MB of storage (we measured this to be adequate for most blogs). As well, if you blog about BlogBackupOnline, send us the link (to support@techrigy.com) and we will double this storage space.

Our Professional account will include:

50 MB of storage
Support for backing up content linked from your blog
Support for restoring your blog
Email support
$4.17 per month ($49.95 per year)

Our Enterprise account will include:

1 GB of storage
Support for backing up content linked from your blog
Support for restoring your blog
Phone support
$8.30 per month ($99.95 per year)


Subscribers using less than 5 MB of storage space will be upgraded to the newest version automatically. Those users with more than 5MB of storage space will have an extended period of time (6 weeks) to continue to use the service to help them decide if they would like to upgrade to a Professional or Enterprise account.

After 6 weeks, we will continue to store your backups for one year, however new backups will not run. Techrigy will provide you with a guideline for exporting everything in your account and will continue to provide access to the backed up content.

Hello - I have a question about the Freemium Service. It doesn't mention restoration as part of that level of service. Do You have a price schedule for blog/post restoration for Freemium members please.

Thanks for the question. Restoration is not available from the Freemium accounts. You can backup all you want, but you'll need to upgrade to perform a restore.

Aaron,

I'm wondering if your service could be used to move my blog posts from my current Point 2 blog to a new Wordpress blog. P2 doesn't allow for exporting posts. If so, I would be willing to pay for one of the upgraded accounts once I set up my new blog.
